Who we are

01

Long-Term Thinking

We're willing to invest more effort today if it leads to a better result tomorrow. We optimize for what lasts, not what looks good this quarter.

02

Low Ego, High Standards

We tackle difficult problems and hold high standards, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. We challenge ideas, respect each other, and know there's always more to learn.

03

Enjoying the Journey

The work is intense, but that doesn't mean it can't be enjoyable. We eat lunch together, celebrate milestones, invite family into the office, and build relationships that extend beyond work.

Why we’re here

Stevens Pineda

"What has surprised me most since joining Traversal is how much ownership and trust people are given from day one. You're surrounded by smart teammates who challenge you to grow, and it's one of those rare places where you walk in every morning and think, "Yeah, this is it.""

“Spotting our ads in the subway on my commute was a real pinch-me moment. It felt like proof that what we're building is out in the real world, in the same city where we grab lunch, debate hard problems, and build together.”

“Traversal is building at the frontier of AI. Making our vision for self-driving production into a reality requires being at the bleeding edge of AI-native systems, and pushing that boundary even further with new technologies in causal agentic harnesses, agent memory systems, data processing and context engineering at petabyte scale.”

“Before joining Traversal, I dealt with observability data spread across countless tools, teams, and formats. Today we're tackling that challenge at enterprise scale. It's a technically demanding problem at the intersection of observability, distributed systems, and AI.”

“One of my favorite parts of working at Traversal is being completely on the cutting edge. Whether it's improving investigation accuracy, building out agent harnesses, or experimenting with new product experiences...”

“For my first two months I was desk buddies with one of the founders. We'd riff on technical ideas the way you do in grad school, where everyone's genuinely curious and no one's too senior to engage. That collegiality isn't something you can put in a job description.”

“My favorite thing about working here is being surrounded by kind, generous, brilliant people who teach me something new every day, and who genuinely appreciate my (often long-winded) stories from the SRE trenches.”

“Joining Traversal in the early days was full of adventure (it still is!). The team has lunch together every day, people pick up projects of all sizes and really own them, and the energy is infectious. It's fun to come to work here. I love the people. Not in a cheesy way, but because it's a team genuinely driven to build something meaningful.”

“I've spent my career selling into the Fortune 500, and I know the difference between polite interest and genuine excitement. At Traversal, executives aren't just taking meetings, they're telling us what we've built is unique and asking how quickly they can engage.”

“The technical challenges at Traversal are unique because of the multi-petabyte scale of the systems we work with. Frontier agents are great at coding, but incident RCA requires reasoning about how telemetry reflects a production environment as a whole.”

“Every once in a while, I've been lucky enough to meet a group of people who are calculated, but quick to get scrappy; hardworking, but humble about it; charismatic, but know how to back it up. When you get that lucky, you just jump on board”

Will Kwiatkowski

"As a seller, working at the forefront of the emerging AI SRE market is a lot of fun. Every day is different, and living in the details is essential. Often, going beyond traditional sales responsibilities is part of the job. It makes for a dynamic environment with constant opportunities to learn."
