Anish’s research career has been focused on causal machine learning and synthetic data generation. After achieving his goal of becoming a professor, he saw a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to combine his love of research and commercialization of technology to address one of the most important problems in software.
Raaz is a leading researcher in causal machine learning and reinforcement learning. He started Traversal to apply his work to one of the most difficult statistical workflows in industry – troubleshooting incidents – and quickly fell in love with the problem, pushing his research to make self-healing software a reality.
Raj works at the intersection of graphical models and large-scale machine learning systems. He saw an opportunity to apply principles from his research on how gene regulatory networks cause disease to a new domain: understanding how issues in microservices cause production incidents — as it turns out, the two topics have more in common than you’d expect.
Ahmed combines engineering, product, and trading experience to shape Traversal’s approach to AI-driven site reliability. After getting paged one too many times for 3:00 AM production incidents as a high-frequency quant trader — leading to more than a few failed dates — he helped start Traversal to end on-call for good.
